Belegish Adas is a beautiful natural area in Serbia that stretches along the Danube River. This area is known for its rich flora and fauna, and is a real paradise for nature lovers.
One of the most interesting features of the Belegish Adas are the different types of snakes that live here. Snakes are an important part of the ecosystem because they help control the population of rodents and other small animals. In this area, you can find species such as the water snake (Natrix tessellata-Ribarica, Natrix natrix-Belouska), which often swims in river backwaters and ponds.

Cows are also a common sight on the Belegish Adas. These domestic animals enjoy rich pastures and free space that allows them to live a healthy and natural life. Cows contribute to the preservation of grass ecosystems through their grazing, which prevents pastures from becoming overgrown and maintains biodiversity.

Birds are another gem of the area. Belegish adas are the habitat of many species of birds, including some rare and protected species. Migratory birds often find a resting place here during their long journeys. Some of the common species that can be seen are white storks, black herons, various types of ducks and swans. This variety makes Belegish Adas an ideal place for bird watching and exploring the bird world.
